Default login screens kind of tend to suck ass. Not just the windows ones, either. The people who build operating systems just don't take coolness into consideration when designing the first thing you'll interact with on your computer every day.

Fortunately, some of us like to live in the future a little and have taken matters into our own hands.

Well, let's see 'em. What kind of login screens are you using?

I've found a way to eliminate the username, user picture, and that stupid picture frame win7 puts around it on the welcome screen - I'll post the hack once I've tested it.

Right now I'm using this as my login / lock screen

That isn't the exact image I'm using... I had to stretch it vertically in order to correct the aspect ratio. Windows won't accept a 1680x1050 image as a login image, but it stretches or shrinks the image to the native resolution of the monitor. point being, this looks a lot cooler than the default verdant bullshit windows likes to use.

I like Doc's too. I am always logged in, so wtf?

i love this. I am no hacker so i had no idea you could customize the login screen but my favorite has to be the good Dr's just b/c it is all CIA. Like Rack, I'm pretty much always logged in all the time. in fact i forgot the last time i actually had to sign in on my putter. All of these are nice designs. i love 'em.
