No, I fished with my dad in the Chesapeake river several years ago, but I don't remember any of those. The suggested baits are familiar though. We used hard and softshell crab and bloodworms. :puke:

(lol) I love fresh crab. I ate lots of it when I was at my dads when he lived on the east coast of Virginia. That is when/where I used those baits too. :hehe:

I once ruined a very expensive 35mm camera by dropping it in a stream, so I no longer take a camera fishing. But this is from when I still did.

Not so small. Compare it to the size of the reel.

Don't think you'll have that problem with my fish. lol.

We caught 2 others like that one that day out fishing. That one on the plywood weighed in at 67 lbs. Needless to say, I had fish and chips for quite a while after that. The season just closed here on halibut, so I'll just be prawning and fishing salmon for the winter...or at least until February when halibut opens again :)

@RD - What pike? Oh, wait, I think I see it now. I got distracted there for a moment...... :D

Nice one Rack! :)

I went for a couple hours Tuesday afternoon, but only got a few nibbles. Fishing was messed up this year, spring floods, then hot temps I think caused it. Hoping for better times next year. ;)
