Consortium Rules & Guidelines:
Please take a moment to review the rules detailed below.
1) Please try to limit your signature pictures to no more than 400 X 100. We will try to be as tolerant as possible to allow for individuality, but images any larger than that stretches our tables, slows page loading, and distracts from the post's content. Also, please do not use the signature graphic that shows the viewer their own IP address. It's not that funny, and can scare the uniformed unnecessarily.
2) P2P Consortium is not responsible for any messages posted by non-staff members. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of messages posted by our members, and are not responsible for the contents of any such message. Member's messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of P2P Consortium.
3) Please refrain from making any post attacking other members or forums. If you have a problem with a fellow member, try to settle it via private message. If you can't resolve it privately, contact one of our staff. Let's reserve our anger for the real enemies, the RIAA, MPAA, their affiliated organizations and congressional toadies.
4) No posting of, or linking to any material that may be construed as offensive due to racial, religious, or ethnic differences.
5) Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact our staff immediately by private message or email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.
Summation - Do not use these forums to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually explicit, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of law. Any such material will be immediately removed, and could cause a reduction in or limiting of privileges. Continued noncompliance could result in being banned from these boards.
If you have a question, ask. There is no such thing as a dumb question, if you really don't know the answer. We all had to learn once, and are all hopefully still learning.
