Malware can invade your system without you ever knowing it and are designed to elude firewalls by using ports which are not blocked by network "firewall" security software or proxy servers. Many of them disable the most frequently used antivirus and software firewalls

Website Verification

VerificationEngine gives you the ability to verify that the site you are visiting (or directed to via a e-mail) can be trusted - essential in the current environment of fraudulent sites and faked emails.

Just mouse over the logo brand or image you want to verify and VerificationEngine will authenticate the different trust credentials of the site you are on. For example VerificationEngine will check logos such as credit card icons (for online purchasing) web site endorsements such as BBB online or TRUSTe or trade associations are legitimate. In addition simply mouse over a logo and a green border will indicate that the site is legitimately the company it claims to be.

During a secure communications session Internet Explorer users can simply mouse over the padlock to verify;

a) That the padlock is genuine and not a fraudulent graphic
b) The site uses an SSL certificate containing the true entity information about the company with which you have an encrypted https session.

All these tests are seamless. VerificationEngine will extract the credentials of the site from the IdAuthority service, including references to third party logos. All this happened in real time ensuring up to the minute confidence and assurance.

I tries comodo for awhile but I had problems when I uysed it with my p2p programs.

xso I switched to outpost again/

Sorry, A friend came back from Ireland with some top shelf booze and we had a drunk night :D

So in translation:

Comodo firewall is a great application, I put it on most computers that I build for people,

But for me I always use Outpost Firewall, I dont want to break what works.

I tried the Firewall a few months ago...I have to say that I didn't like it too much. If you leave it at the Default Settings..it seems ok, but when you change something..like from Low to High...it just went off like mad. It seemed to me that I had less control of what I wanted. I didn't like the interface at all.
I'll stick with ZA

I had a Problem of it blocking peers,

When I was connected it would get up to speed then everything would stop,

I traced it back to comodo.

For everybody else it is good, but for me who likes to have control of my firewall I have Outpost Firewall, with a 999 day license registered to FFF :D

I had problems with their firewall too. It crashed my computer to the point I thought my hard drive was failing. My first clue was disabling the firewall and things ran properly, so since replacing it, I have not had a problem. I have no idea as to what the problem was. I did check the settings over carefully before giving up.
