If CH is going to be here more often, then TwoDeer may have to tone down her act a little bit. :P

Welcome The "Daily Thought" Thread !

Quote

"Intellect is the functioning of the head (the mammalian brain), instinct is the functioning of the body (the reptilian brain), and intuition is the functioning of the heart (the spiritual/inspirational brain). And behind these three is the master, your being, whose only quality is witnessing. A wise person creates a harmony between the head, the heart, and the body. In this harmony comes the revelation of the source of one's life, the very center, the soul. We all have a past, present and future. Instinct is what belongs to our animal past. Intellect is human. It is our present. The intellect is fallable because it is new, a recent arrival. Intellect lives through prejudices; it is never fair. And the third thing, which is our future, is intuition. So these three words have to be understood. Intuition opens it's doors through meditation. Meditation is simply a knocking on the doors of intuition. Intuition is your consciousness. Intellect is your mind. Instinct is your body. To understand enlightenment you must understand that intellect is a tool. It is a servant, not the master." - Osho, Intuition. Knowing Beyond Logic

Dayum!! :hyper: Well all right how about this with your Krispy Kreme's & coffee.....

"The first factor in the revolution of consciousness is the mystic death of the ego- the death of negative thinking, negative personalities. We must purify the soul of the inner enemies. Every time a defect manifests- envy, gluttony, anger, lust, whatever-that impulse to the heart. Ask, `Do I really need to invoke this?' And then honor the heart."
--Willaru Huayta, QUECHAU NATION, PERU

Our egos have character defects. These character defects we sometimes act out and they invariably bring results to our lives that we might not want. If we continue to use these character defects, we will continue to have undesirable results in our lives. How do we change ourselves or get rid of a character defect We can go to the heart-ask a question, make a decision-then honor the heart. For example, say I get angry today. I would go to the heart and ask, would I rather be right or would I rather be happy? How we answer this question can have an enormous impact on how our day goes. Once we decide the answer to this question, we need to honor the heart by saying, "Thank you for the power of changing my thoughts. I choose to be happy and to experience peace of mind."

Great Spirit, today, let me teach only love and learn only love.

Aww...RB, you know next to Crazy Horse, you are one of my favorite men! Besides, CH knew what he was getting into when he married me...(I still question his sanity on that decision sometimes lol). He knows that he is my heart.

CH...awesome post, and I think the timing was superb. :welcome:

Set a shining example

The world around you will follow the example that you set. The shortcomings in others that frustrate you the most are able to do so because they resonate with similar shortcomings in your own life.

Make improvements in your own attitude and behavior, and you'll see corresponding improvements in those around you. Focus your own thoughts on the positive possibilities, and others will pick up on and emulate that focus.

Stop searching for blame and start mending what's broken. Stop seeking to judge and start putting your values into positive, productive action.

Your influence is far greater than you now realize. Use that influence wisely, to build, to grow, and to improve everything with which you are connected.

Every achievement, every injustice, every inspiration, every frustration that you notice has something to teach you about yourself. Learn the lessons well, apply them with true commitment, and you'll change your world as well as yourself.

Set a shining example with the way you live each day. For life is watching and busily following along with your every move.

Reading that before I go to work is interesting. Maybe instead of avoiding the office area with all the self-righteous *****, I'll make a point to say hi and make eye contact. That's progress, at least.

It's difficult to walk around there with a genuinely positive attitude when there are at least three people who SEEK OUT things everyone else does wrong so that they can bring them to the manager and be like, "ooh look what I found!" and somehow not look like a whiny 5 year old. I have problems respecting people who treat others like that.
